For more than thirty years, I have worked at the intersection of technology, organisations, and business development — beginning in large institutions, moving into executive roles, and building companies of my own in Switzerland and abroad.
My journey
1993 – 2000s
Where it began
My professional journey began in 1993 at UBS, working between Ticino and Zurich. I started as a software engineer and gradually took on management responsibilities. Among other projects, I contributed to the major integration programme following the merger of UBS and Swiss Bank Corporation — an early lesson in leading change and bringing people together within complex organisations.
Public sector
Technology in service of people
I later became responsible for application development and integration at the Canton of Ticino's IT centre. I led projects with a direct impact on public services, including a system for managing and distributing social benefits, tax and administrative initiatives, and the introduction of SAP across the cantonal administration. That period taught me that the value of technology lies in what it makes possible for people.
Private sector
Building a team
I then moved to the private sector as CEO of Tinext SA. During my tenure, the company grew from around 15 to more than 60 employees. I broadened my international experience, particularly in Italy and the United Arab Emirates, while leading teams and supporting clients on increasingly ambitious digital projects.
2012 – 2026
Nembrini Consulting SA
In 2012, I founded Nembrini Consulting SA and led it for nearly fifteen years. Based in St. Moritz, with activities across Switzerland and through related companies in India and Canada, the business brought together international teams to deliver large-scale digital transformation and e-commerce projects for some of the world's leading companies. In May 2026, I had to close the company. The loss of a major client led to a sharp decline in revenue, and the cost structure made it impossible to continue. It was a difficult decision after so many years. I remain grateful to the people I worked with and for everything we achieved together. The experience and relationships built during that time continue to shape the companies and projects I work on today.
Governance
Boards and responsibility
Alongside my executive work, I have served on the boards of companies in the technology and services sectors. From 2009 to 2016, I was a member of the board of the Ticino Association of Engineers and Architects, serving first as Vice President and then as President. These roles strengthened my interest in governance, collaboration across professions, and responsibility towards the communities in which we work.
Today
St. Moritz and beyond
Today, I continue to develop businesses and lead projects in technology, services, and real estate. My professional base is in St. Moritz, where my offices are located and where I spend much of my time. From here, I work with partners and clients in Ticino, across Switzerland, and internationally. I approach each new initiative with the same principles that have guided me throughout my career: understand people and organisations, make practical decisions, and build relationships that last.
